It's true. Like its cousin Ecco, Lifestyle really does have it all. Actually, it has something more, too: it is a fingering weight yarn that can double as a sports weight yarn. The unique twist to its four plys renders it much more versatile than it would be without it. Think of a tight spring. Lifestyle's four plys are spun into a four-layered spring that is at once the tight spin that short-staple merino most loves and at the same time gives the yarn a springy flexibility. This means that if you knit it on US2 (3mm) needles, your fabric will be soft yet firm, just right for socks; go up to a US4 (3.5mm) and you'll find that the springiness of the yarn fills in the extra space and gives you a garment fabric with great drape, softness and flow.
