A classic tweed sporting luxury fibers? What a delicious surprise! And, what a yarn.

Tweed Lux is one of those yarns that sets me to imagining what it might be like if I could fill a whole room with it, then jump into it and curl up for a soft and cozy nap. I have to say, the idea is one of those fantasies that is so pleasurable I keep calling it back.

Aside from ideas that must remain fantasies, though, there are some very real, very joyous knitting possibilities with the exceptional creation that is this yarn. Suddenly, I am awash with ideas for classic tweed jackets to accompany warm wool skirts (that's me, walking the misty moors, hoping to spot Heathcliff over the next rise). And, just as soon as that picture arises, comes another one fast on its heels, this time for a simple kimono jacket, to be worn with grace anywhere, any time (now I am quietly sipping green tea in a room framed by rice paper dividers). But wait, there are also mittens and mufflers to knit (whoosh! I'm a child again, sledding down the long, snowy hill that winds through the woods behind our home and out onto the frozen creek, warmed all the while by the scarves and mittens).
