*****
Schulana's Merino-Cotton, whether in 135 or 90 weight, is such an elegant creation, with such potent versatility, that it's hard for me to know where to begin to tell you about it.
Perhaps we can start with what for me is always of first importance -- how the yarn feels. Buttery soft, that's how. In fact, that was one of the most startling surprises when I first held it and worked with it. Somehow, as the merino and cotton were spun together, they became softer than either are alone. Magic, I decided. Sheer magic. How else to explain it? It is soft enough for your face or a babie's skin.
Then, there's the weight. This is a delightfully lightweight yarn. What this means for you is that you can knit any size garment you want without fear of the weight of the yarn pulling it out of shape, as cotton alone might do. Which is truly wonderful, because a yarn this elegant deserves as much space as you care to give it.
Merino-Cotton is also warm without being too warm, making it a perfect for year-round wear. It breathes beautifully while protecting against chills.
Stitch definition? Absolutely great. Your textured stitches or lacy designs will sing in this yarn; your stockinette fabric will simply purr.
Durability? How can a yarn this soft be so incredibly strong? Must be that magic again. Merino-Cotton will never let you down.
Whatever you can envision, you can create in beauty with Merino-Cotton.
